Celltick Technologies, the pioneer of active mobile marketing solutions, has today announced two key appointments to support its continued growth. Paul Twivy has been appointed a member of the Board of Directors while Stacy Fassberg has been appointed Vice President (VP) of Marketing.
The new strategic appointments have been made as Celltick continues to build momentum for its product Live Screen™ Media, now deployed by over 25 operators globally. The platform broadcasts targeted marketing messages across the idle screen of mobile phones, turning the handsets into a series of personal interactive billboards. With a reach capacity of 200 million users, generating over 35 million monthly transactions, Celltick’s innovative marketing medium provides brands with untapped, targeted access and operators with new revenue streams.
Paul Twivy, widely regarded as one of the most strategic and innovative thinkers within the British and European advertising and marketing industries, has been made a Non Executive Director and will provide strategic direction for the company in the rapidly evolving mobile advertising marketplace.
“I’m delighted to be joining the Celltick team at this critical time in the company’s development” comments Twivy. “This is one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe and it's operating in possibly the most dynamically evolving market there is right now. I’m very much looking forward to supporting the continued growth and success of this pioneering company. I am fascinated by the challenges of mobile marketing and advertising.”
During his 27 year career, Twivy has started two seminal communications agencies, run some of the largest and most successful advertising agencies in Europe including JWT, Bates and McCann Erickson, set up Marketing at the BBC and been heavily involved in some ground-breaking charity and public service initiatives. He is also a Non Executive Director of The Partners, WPP’s flagship design agency, and is working with the UK Prime Minister on some key social initiatives.
New VP Marketing, Stacy Fassberg joins Celltick with over 10 years of telecommunications experience, most recently from AxisMobile where she was responsible for corporate brand development and management, analyst and public relations, product marketing, marketing communications and market research as VP Marketing. Previously, Fassberg was Associate VP, Corporate Marketing at Comverse. Fassberg started her career in the US, where she gained over 10 years experience in the direct marketing industry. She has worked in leading communications agencies including Grey Advertising and Young and Rubicam, and achieved the position of VP Strategy for Harte Hanks Direct. In her new role Fassberg will support the worldwide expansion of Celltick and be responsible for guiding the company's marketing strategy and activities.
“I’m excited to be joining Celltick’s management team,” comments Fassberg. “Celltick’s unique combination of landscape intelligence, marketing appreciation and cutting edge technology assures success. The company is prospering, and I look forward to meeting and exceeding our goals.”
“I’m expecting to feel the positive impact of these two new appointments as we benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience that they bring to the table,” comments Stephen Dunford, CEO at Celltick. “We now have a highly creative and dynamic management and advisory team in place. This will enable Celltick to further evolve towards a media-based operation, strategically growing and advancing as this market matures. Although 2007 will be hard to match in terms of growth, we believe 2008 will be our most exciting year to date.”
In 2007 Celltick announced its strategic shift from a license based business model to a managed services one to expand its reach and increase revenue. Celltick was also ranked second in the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA Awards, thanks to its impressive revenue growth of 29,627 per cent over the previous five years.
