Pop Screen Exceeds First Month's ARPU Targets

Powered by Celltick's LiveScreen Media, Pop Screen has achieved a remarkable user uptake with 20% of enabled users interacting with the service and generating an ARPU rate of $1 per user. Golan Shaked, Celltick's Vice President of Media Services estimates that with the introduction of more premium content to the service and the expansion of the programming plan ARPU rates will exceed $2.5 annually.
Telkomsel has initially distributed 3 million SIM cards with the Celltick applet and is scheduled to embed the application on all SIM cards hitting the market going forward. Positioned to evolve as a targeted mobile marketing medium, POP SCREEN is offered as a common service across Telkomsel's entire product range and current subscription plans.
POP SCREEN broadcasts news, sports, business, entertainment, and lifestyle teasers, directly to the mobile phones' idle-screens, creating a synchronized, interactive network of personal billboards. Revenue from the service is generated by content downloads, subscription services and premium content applications. The platform also serves as a unique idle screen advertising platform.
Celltick's LiveScreen Media was selected by Telkomsel as the ideal content delivery and mobile advertising solution. With over 80 million subscribers to reach, LiveScreen Media's ability to achieve critical mass through SIM distribution combined with utilizing its cost effective message delivery through cell broadcast capabilities were deciding factors for Telkomsel. Celltick is now focused on increasing customer loyalty to the service and segmenting users based on available demographics and content consumption habits in order to set the foundation for effective advertising campaigns on the service.
