Celltick Selected By Danish Government To Deploy Its MAGEN® Command Post CBE To Empower Denmark’s National Public Warning System
London, March 25, 2022 – Celltick, the world’s largest cell broadcast-based products provider and a global leader of Public Warning systems (PWS), announced it has been selected by the Danish Ministry of Defense to deploy its MAGEN® Command Post system for managing country-wide emergency warnings dissemination to its population in emergencies and crisis situations. The establishment of the system takes place in close cooperation between the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Supply and the mobile operators in Denmark.
Celltick’s MAGEN® (Mass Alert Geo Emergency Notifications) suite of Public Warning System products provides mainly governments and public safety entities with an infallible platform to communicate life-saving mobile-optimized communications to its citizens in any type of emergency i.e. terror attacks, severe weather warnings, floods and earthquakes or for any imminent threat to the population.
In Denmark, alerts will be delivered over CAP 1.2 to the 3 CBCs that will be installed by the local mobile operators. MAGEN® Command Post will be operated by DEMA, the Danish Emergency Management Agency, to ensure the near-instantaneous and continuous dissemination of emergency warnings to all individuals in the affected area, even if networks are heavily congested and may crash due to a crisis event in the region. The Danish government’s initiative to employ a mobile alert system derived from Article 110 in the legislation of the European Electronic Communications Code (EECC), mandating all member states to deploy a mobile public warning system by June 2022.
